Description

Atlas Cedar, also known as Atlas Cedarwood or Moroccan Cedarwood, is a large, aromatic tree that has been revered for millennia. It has been used as a medicine, a cosmetic agent and is considered to be one of the earliest incense materials. It is a great addition to skincare products to help treat acne conditions and dermatitis, and in hair care to help alleviate dandruff.

Atlas Cedar essential oil is generally used in aromatherapy. It is effective in lowering stress levels and reducing any pressure from nervous tension. Helps with cardio-vascular system issues and lymphatic drainage. It also acts as an aphrodisiac .

Atlas cedar wood essential oil is extensively used in the treatment of whooping coughs, bronchitis, arthritis, cystitis etc.

Its aroma is masculine and appealing to men and is said to be an aphrodisiac. Inhaled, it helps support the respiratory system and calms stress.

Good calming and grounding oil, combats negativity and is useful in meditation blends

This oil is suitable for diffusion but may cause skin sensitivity.

Dilution Rate

1%

Use in a water-based diffuser to help with lowering stress levels and reducing any pressure from nervous tension. It also acts as an aphrodisiac and combats negativity. Used in the treatment of whooping coughs, bronchitis, arthritis, cystitis etc.

Diluted to 1% or less in a carrier oil it can be useful for acne conditions and dermatitis.

Blended into a shampoo or conditioner it can help in hair care to help alleviate dandruff.

 

Leleshwa – Tarchonanthus camphoratus

Description

Leleshwa has a particular affinity for the skin, nails and hair. As a purifying tonic, it can help to rebuild and renew smooth, clear and beautiful skin.  It is a strong antiseptic and is ideal to get under the top layer of the skin and thoroughly clean dirty pores. The anti-fungal properties of Leleshwa make it an excellent remedy for Athletes Foot and other fungal diseases. It is also frequently massaged on to the legs and feet before long journeys.  Useful for abscesses, acne, athlete’s foot, blisters, burns, cold sores, dandruff, herpes, insect bites, oily skin, rashes, spots, warts, and infected wounds.  It is also excellent for treating over-anxiety and headaches.

Leleshwa can support deep, restful sleep; it activates the power of renewal and the removal of negative energies. It can also assist in clearing your path of challenging patterns from the past and will provide a new, clear space for growth. When diffused, Leleshwa has a wonderful ability to purify the air of stagnant, old or persistent odours, leaving behind a refreshingly clean atmosphere. Often used in Kenya to ward off evil influences while travelling through new territory. It is said to prevent bad dreams. Good for space clearing and psychic protection.

Diffuse Leleshwa along with other cleansing oils like Frankincense and Pine to freshen and cleanse the air in your home or office.  To promote healthy skin tissue, use 8 drops of Leleshwa oil in a compress with 100ml of water

Dilute all oils in a suitable carrier such as Grapeseed (Vitis vinifera) or a blend of Grapeseed and Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) oil before skin application.
