The box is lined and has just enough space for 3 x 2ml 100% Pure Essential Oils to nestle into the protection of the Box. Horn Box (Number 1) has the rich scents of Christmas; Cinnamon, Clove and Orange. Use them together or separately to create the unmistakeable fragrance of the season of indulgence.
Cinnamon – Cinnamomum zeylanicum
Description
Cinnamon is used as a comforting oil during the cold season as it is a lovely room fragrance, especially at Christmas – cinnamon, clove and orange oil together make a festive fragrance.
Cinnamon has great value in calming spasms of the digestive tract, nausea as well as period pains and vomiting. It stimulates secretion of digestive juices.
It is useful in the case of constipation, exhaustion, stress and flatulence. Helps to ease muscular and joint pains associated with rheumatism and arthritis. Cinnamon warms and stimulates it is energising – good to vaporise on car journeys. It raises and enhances natural abilities, often felt as a warming/heating sensation in the solar plexus. Cinnamon can be used to enhance appreciation of the moment, helpful for artistic appreciation and “eye”. Helps to lift depression and a feeling of weakness
Contraindications
Avoid if suffering from alcoholism, haemophilia prostatic cancer, kidney and liver problems and if taking anticoagulants.
Clove – Syzygium aromaticum
Description
Clove has a rich spicy scent strongly reminiscent of cloves. It is renowned for its use in calming the acute pain of toothache. It is a warming oil, traditionally used as a muscle relaxant and soothing agent. It stimulates peristalsis and alleviates nausea and is renowned for relieving digestive wind. It can be used in blends for rheumatism, arthritis and muscle aches and pains. Clove oil has anti-fungal properties and can be used to treat athlete’s foot. Good for skin sores, leg ulcers and lupus. It is a constituent of anti-fungal essential oil blends. Clove oil can be used to increase energy levels or to add extra potency to blends.
It’s also used as an insect and mosquito repellent.
Contraindications
Clove oil should be avoided entirely during the early stages of pregnancy. Use with caution. Clove oil can cause sensitization in some and should be used in dilutions of less than 1% if applying to the skin.
Orange – Citrus sinensis
Description
Orange provides relief from inflammation caused by infections. It is helpful in treating swollen tissue by stimulating blood circulation. It is known to promote digestion, ease constipation and increase the absorption of vitamin C. D-limonene has been studied extensively for its ability to prevent cellular mutations and combat cancer tumour growth. Orange promotes the production of collagen and increases the blood flow to the skin. It is helpful in soothing dry, irritated skin as well as acne-prone skin. It is excellent for rubbing on calluses on the feet. Contains vitamins A, B, & C. It can help to protect against infections, colds and flu, Helpful to relax active children at bedtime. Can prevent septic conditions, fungal infections and tetanus. Orange helps to reduce pulse rate and salivary cortisol. It helps to lose fat. Helps with intestinal wind as it relaxes the abdominal and anal muscles, thereby letting the gas escape. Orange improves cognitive function, especially in Alzheimer’s patients.

Contraindications
Photo-toxic. It tastes bitter and if ingested in large quantities, may result in vomiting, nausea, and loss of appetite.
As with all essential oils they must be diluted to 3% or less in a suitable carrier oil before use.
