Frankincense – Boswellia carterii

 Description

Frankincense is rejuvenating, excellent for dry and mature skin and anti-wrinkle, when diluted and added to creams and carrier oils. Stress releasing, relaxing, calming, it helps to slow breathing and ease shortness of breath. It helps in asthma and has a soothing effect on head colds and catarrhal conditions generally. It can act as an antidepressant and also helps stimulate the immune system.  Vibrating at 147 MHz it is good for meditation as it elevates the mind, slows and deepens breathing. This essential oil is very useful in spells of self-exploration. It is sovereign for those trying to abandon everyday concerns to concentrate on more uplifting issues

Contraindications

Avoid if taking Warfarin or other blood thinning medication. Avoid if suffering from an upset stomach. May cause nausea, stomach pain, burning sensations or a feeling of fullness. Extremely rarely, an allergic reaction may be experienced. This should be treated as a medical emergency

Coffee – Coffea arabica

Description

Like coffee, Coffee essential oil is rich in caffeine which is prized for its energising and stimulating properties. Caffeine, especially on the hair is known to build cell barriers and strengthen cell formation giving you stronger & shinier hair. It is a super antioxidant, including plenty of phytosterols & a wealth of fatty acids, both of which boost moisture retention & aid with rapid skin penetration. The oil is widely used to aid damaged, wrinkled skin as it helps balance the moisture levels of the skin. Useful for its antioxidant properties, anti-acne, anti-cellulite, anti-depression, detoxifying, eczema, psoriasis, uplifting.

Caffeine is used as an active compound in anti-cellulite products because it prevents excessive accumulation of fat in cells.

Leleshwa – Tarchonanthus camphoratus

Description

Leleshwa has a particular affinity for the skin, nails and hair. As a purifying tonic, it can help to rebuild and renew smooth, clear and beautiful skin. It is a strong antiseptic and is ideal to get under the top layer of the skin and thoroughly clean dirty pores.  Leleshwa has been used with success for soothing sore feet and easing painful chilblains. An excellent remedy for Athletes Foot and other fungal diseases. It is also frequently massaged on to the legs and feet before long journeys.  It is also excellent for treating over-anxiety and headaches. Leleshwa can support deep, restful sleep; often used in Kenya to ward off evil influences while travelling through new territory. Said to prevent bad dreams. Good for space clearing and psychic protection, it activates the power of renewal and the removal of negative energies. When diffused, Leleshwa has a wonderful ability to purify the air of stagnant, old or persistent odours, leaving behind a refreshingly clean atmosphere.
